First half year：self-operated import and export volume reached 800 million USD

In the first half of this year ， the foreign-oriented economy of Yiwu kept a sound momentum of fast and stable development ，reaching the self-operated import and export volume totaling 818 million US dollars .

According to the statistics ， in the first half year ，the self-operated import and export volume reached 817 . 92 million US dollars in total ，increasing by 27 . 27% ， with selfoperated export volume and selfoperated import volume growing to 755 . 48 million and 62 . 44 million US dollars ，a rise of 27. 8% and 21. 7% respectively from the same period of last year .

With the rapid growth of the city’s foreign trade ，the trade structure also turned to be more rational .The production-based enterpri ses achieved 473 . 81 million US dollars of self-operated export volume ，62 . 7% of the total ，while circulation-based enterprises achieved 281 . 67 million US dollars of self-operated export volume ，37 . 3% of the total . Meanwhile，the first six months witnessed a high speed of growth in the total volume of processing trade in the foreign trade ，reaching a processing export trade volume of 43. 76 million US dollars ，a rise of 24. 9% ，which has made processing trade another highlight in Yiwu ’s foreign trade.

In the first six months ， the city’s top industries in the export were clothes ，hosiery ，handicrafts ，zippers ， b lankets ， cosmetic s ， toys ，jewelry ，cultural supply ，and cookers . Export to the main trade partners like US ， EU ， India and Brazil increased rapidly ，going up by 48 . 7% ，36 . 9% ，59 . 7% and 35 . 6% respectively . The top nine export destinations of Yiwu were US ， the United Arab Emirates ( UAE) ，Russia ，Ukraine ，Germany ，South Korea ， Spain ， Brazil ， and Panama .

The main import product was crude plastic ，with an import volume of 25 . 71 million US dollars ，increasing by 74 . 5% ，occupying 41 . 2% of the total . Besides ，the import volume of textile machines and parts accounted for 26 . 7% of the total import volume ，reaching 16 . 65 million US dollars ， a rise of 4. 3% ， and that of synthetic fibers for textile occupied 10 . 4% of the total import volume， reaching 6 . 5 1 million US dollars ， a rise of 1. 7% over the same period of last year .
