2007 Yiwu Fair：an eye catcher to the world's traders

According to sources from a preparatory meeting of 2007 China Yiwu International Commodities Fair, over 17,000 foreign traders are expected to attend the Fair, and there is a great increase in the number of European and American businessmen . Yiwu International Commodities Fair is now considered as an important exhibition for purchasers over the world. Statistics from the Office of the Organizing Committee show that invitation of exhibitors to the Fair has received encouraging responses . This year's fair will see a big rise in the percentage of famous enterprises and well-known products, in addition to its larger scale and higher grade . Up to August 13, there have been 2, 889 enterprises registered for the Fair, and 5 , 1 8 4 booths have al ready been booked . Although 500 more booths are added to the 4500 standard booths thi s year, the demand continues to outreach the supply . The 2006 Yiwu Fair pulled in over 100, 000 purchasers from 162 different countries and regions,and about 16, 000 of them were overseas traders . Hopefully there will be a remarkable grow this year in the number of traders, especially foreign exhibitors .
