According to Yiwu Administration Bureau for Industry and Commerce,4 trademarks in Yiwu have been approved as China Well-known Trademarks by the authority of jurisdication since March of China Well-known trademarks in Yiwu has reached 9.
The 9 China Well-known Trademarks appraised by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce are Langsha,Neoglory Jewelry with Logo,Mengna with pinyin,Fennasi with pinyin,Shang-pin-xian,Yiwu Ao-ge Fashion Co.,Ltd.and other three trademarks.
The number of Yiwu famous trademarks has been growing year after year,accounting for one third the total in Jinhua prefecture.In the commercial area of Zhejiang province there are 57 Zhejiang famous trademarks contributed by Yiwu,ranking third among the county-level cities in Zhejiang. In the area of Jinhua City,there are 128 Jinhua famous trademarks up to now,of which 38 were approved in 2006.

YWAQS's testing ability upgraded to ILAC standard

It's hearing about from Yiwu Administration of Quality Supervision(YWAQS)says that 97 daily necessities parameters tested by YWAQS will be sealed with ILAC-MRA/CNAS logos of International Laboratory Accreditaton Cooperation(ILAC) from March of 2007.The test report with ILAC-MRA/CNAS logo will be admitted by over 50 countries and regions who have signed the ILAC-MRA agreement all over the world.
China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assesment(CNAS)signed the ILAC-MRA agreement with ILAC in 2001.The agreement has established the mutual trust between laboratory accreditation agencies and the trust will help different countries accept the testing and adjusting resluts of those laboratories who get the permission of ILAC.

History of Yiwu

Yiwu became a county in 2220 BC.It was named "County of Yiwu" in 624 AD.
Many famous poets and scholars have been inspired by the natural landscape around Yiwu:

2.Zong ze,the anti-Jin general(Song dynasty);

Chinese Traditional Festival----Yuan xiao

Besides entertainment and beautiful lanterns，another important part of the Lantern Festival or Yuanxiao Festival is eating small dumpling balls made of glutinous rice flour . We call these balls Yuanxiao or Tangyuan . Obviously，they get the name from the festival itself . It is said that the custom of eating Yuanxiao originated during the Eastern Jin Dynasty in the fourth century，then became popular during the Tang and Song periods .
The fillings inside the dumplings or Yuaxiao are either sweet or salty . Sweet fillings are made of sugar，Walnuts，sesame，osmanthus flowers，rose petals，sweetened tangerine peel，bean paste，or jujube paste .A single ingredient or any
combination can be used as the filling .The salty variety is filled with minced meat，vegetables or a mixture .
The way to make Yuanxiao also varies between northern and southern China .The usual method followed in southern provinces is to shape the dough of rice flour into balls，make a hole，insert the filling，then close the hole and smooth out the dumpling by rolling it between your hands. In North China，sweet or nonmeat stuffing is the usual ingredient .The fillings are pressed into hardened cores，dipped lightly in water and rolled in a flat basket containing dry glutinous rice flour .A layer of the flour sticks to the filling，which is then again dipped in water and rolled a second time in the rice flour . And so it goes，like rolling a snowball，until the dumpling is the desired size .
The custom of eating Yuanxiao dumplings remains .This tradition encourages both old and new stores to promote their Yuanxiao products . They all try their bestto improve the taste and quality of the dumplings to attract more customers .
